For sure, you've watched a cute romantic Hallmark movie with Brittany; now, you will discover things you never knew about the star.

Have you always wanted to be an actress?

My first dream was to be a unicorn but acting took over when I started working at age 6. At 12 I put acting on hold to attend the National Ballet School of Canada, but when I graduated at 18 it was clear to me that I had to go back to acting, I missed it too much not too. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been really fulfilling and for as long as I’m able to make it a career I will!

If I weren't an actress, I'd be:

I don’t really know! Whenever I think about this, I picture myself still acting - whether successful or not haha! I’ve always loved the idea of being an interior designer, or golfer, or professional crochet-er… is that a thing? I think I’m someone who will always be daydreaming about the many things that are possible!

Most gracious response to rejection/a career setback:

At the end of the day, in any industry, people are going to have their opinions, you just can’t let them determine how you feel about yourself or deter you from doing what you love.

Favorite perk of the job:

Getting to travel & getting to meet new people. I have so many wonderful friends from the projects I’ve worked on.. Oh and candy, there’s always candy on set.

The worst difficulty of the job:

Being away from the people I love.

Change I'd like to see in the movie/TV industry:

It would be great to see bigger budgets directed towards new creative ideas by new people. Some of the best shows out there are by people who were otherwise unknown before their project ended up on Netflix or HBO etc., I’d love to see more chances for the unknown creators!

My fave series in this moment:

High Maintenance! I’m so hoping that it’s brought back for a 5th season!

My fave actor/actress?

I don’t know that I have one to be honest. I think it depends so much on the role. Jeff Bridges is irreplicable as “The Dude” in The Big Lebowski, Audrey Hepburn is perfection as “Eliza Doolittle” in My Fair Lady. Anytime a good actor meets a good script and good direction, it’s easy to love them.

My big dream is:

To keep working, doing what I love - whatever that may be - for the rest of my life.

My fave food:

All the food! Except olives. I hate olives.

My big beauty secret is:

Drink water and consult professionals haha!

My favorite T-Shirt style is:

Any ‘boyfriend’ tee! I love the oversized, relaxed fit of them!

What message would you like to share with the women reading us?

I don’t know that I’m the most qualified to give advice but if I had to pick one thing it would be a quote I’ve stolen from an Instagram account (@iamthiryaf) that instantly made me feel better about my life:

“If you feel like a messy bitch, remember a star is just a big pile of space trash that pulled itself together and will shine for billions of years. Be messy like space trash and shine like the badass bitch you are.”
